Fix-it Friday #88 at i heart faces!

Friday is for fixing-it at "i heart faces"
This week's photo was provided by Angie Arthur photography, an IHF contributor.

A girl about the age of my daughter and a decent exposure - what a great photo to edit!

Colour
I thought this would work well with a soft and warm feel to it.
Workflow:
- RGB S-curve,
- bumped-up the reds
- ran an action at low opacity
- sharpened the eyes a bit but they are out of focus
- high-pass filter

Black and white
I love contrasty black and whites!
Workflow:
- gradient map
- S-curve - enough to add contrast while avoiding blowing the whites and blacks
- bump up the reds a wee bit
- high-pass filter

SOOC (straight out of camera)

On a high

I nearly believed it when I heard the rumour that certain parts of my life will change when I had kids. I nearly sold all of my gear for all the crazy sports I did before the kids came. How can you go climbing, downhill skiing, wilderness camping, etc., etc. when you have children? How will you have the time, the money, the energy, the patience, the want to do those things you did "before"? I was very wrong. These things were not fun before, at least they could not have been this fun. It is amazing to watch them and to do sports with them. Of course, now I need new gear since mine is a bit dated. (Right honey?? :)) (Seriously, the climbing gym guys loved my climbing shoes saying they were classics and that "they don't make them like that anymore!". I love my dated gear - most of it anyways.)
